# Your Citadel

> A place for your thinking.

Your Citadel is a personal system in development, built by Citadel Studio in Edmonton, Alberta. It brings notes, ideas and work together in files people own, with an AI assistant on their computer. People can follow sources, keep their words separate from AI suggestions, read and change Citadel’s standing instructions, and choose what it may read, change or do.

Uses include testing and scoring ideas, researching questions, planning projects, building tools, checking results and sharing their work. Families can learn about computers and AI together, with an adult alongside children.

Built on Linux. Free for life and yours to keep. Feedback is optional. Computers and any paid AI services are separate costs. People can choose a local model or a hosted service; information sent to a hosted model is processed by that provider.

No public download is available yet. The email waitlist is for an invitation to the first group and setup instructions when a version is ready to try.
